What is Intimalase?

Intimalase is a unique Er:YAG laser therapy for incisionless, noninvasive photothermal tightening of the vaginal canal. This can be used to reverse vaginal relaxation syndrome(VRS), which is the loss of the structural form of the vagina and subsequently providing greater support to the bladder for mild and moderate stress- and mixed-urinary incontinence. That’s right! No more of those frustrating leaks when you laugh, jump and sneeze!

How does it work?

Our innovative laser thermally affects the vaginal tissue, stimulating collagen remodeling and the synthesis of new collagen fibers in the vaginal mucosa tissue and collagen-rich endopelvic fascia. This lends to shrinkage and tightening of the vaginal canal and greater support to the bladder.

The procedure takes about 20 minutes but up to an hour from start to finish when including the initial numbing process. Many patients have said they’ve felt little-to-no discomfort. 

Package is 3 treatments done 2-3 weeks apart. Maintenance is one session anywhere between 6-12 months. You may return to work or normal daily activities after. Intercourse downtime is 7 days.
